In the beginning...

I have had the desire for a REALLY long time to set up a means of documenting life. The older I get the more I realize something about myself – I really try to hold on to the past by preserving memories. I have an obsession with photographs. I am too embarrassed to even admit the number of Rubbermaid tubs that house the photographs that are my link to the past. I just want so badly to preserve every precious memory. I do scrapbook and it is a great creative outlet for me however that is all it is. I don't do a good job of preserving memories in my scrapbooks because as a perfectionist, I only am able to preserve a few memories a year. You see I spend more time piddling with my pages to add my creative touch and endless hours go into my pages rather than endless photographs. Nonetheless, I will continue to scrapbook because I love it!! Anyway, back to my reason for this blog. As life continues to pass me by, I was looking for a way to document memories – of my family (husband, children, parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.) So there you have it. Day 1 of my new commitment to preserving memories – hi tech.
