This morning Jessa asked me what was wrong with my voice because it is barely audible. Jamison answered for me, "Duh Jessa, she has a sore throat and her kids don't listen to her."

Yesterday all the students at the kids' school wore pink for breast cancer awareness. Jessa was sick yesterday and missed school. So, today she dressed in all pink, complete with pink streaks in her hair, because she wanted to make sure that everyone knew that she is against people having breast cancer!!

Jessa: Mom, what makes you happy?
Me: When my kids are getting along and not fighting.
Jessa: Ohhhhhh... Couldn't you just find a hobby to make you happy?

Jessa: "Mom, there are already 2 third grader teachers that really want me in their class next year."
Me: "Oh really? What about the other two 3rd grade teachers?"
Jessa: "They just don't know me yet!"

During the Christmas season whenever Jamison would see something on tv that he wanted I would tell him to "put it on his list." Well, tonight he saw something on tv and yelled "I want that," and I instinctively said "put it on your list" to which he replied, "no, you put it on your list so you don't forget to buy it for me."

"Why is Jayce always in charge and not me?" Jamison, age 4.

Jamison isn't feeling the best... allergies have him congested tonight. So, he asked me to say prayers for him at bedtime. As I was praying for God to help him feel better, Jamison stopped me mid-prayer and said, "Don't forget to tell Him I am really good at puzzles." So, I closed with that.

Me: "Jessa, I layed out your clothes for Fancy Day at school tomorrow."
Jessa: "Ohhhhh no..."
Me: "What?"
Jessa: "I am just so much better at fancy than you."

Jamison upon seeing my Medcenter One employee badge: "Wow Mom! You are a doctor!" He was so impressed. How do I tell him the truth and crush his impression of me?

Jamison just brought me the Herbergers flyer with a picture of a Willow Tree figurine and said " My better get this for you. They are giving each other a hug and my like that." Ooooooh, I wanna keep this child little sooooo badly!!!

Today Jessa and I went to the hospital to visit my cousin Holly Merriman Klemisch, her husband Nick Klemisch, and to meet their new baby Rylan Paul. On the way home, Jessa says to me, "Mom, isn't it amazing how cell phones cost like $100 but you can get a baby for FREE!"

Today Jamison asked me to reach him a piece of paper from the top shelf of the craft cupboard. I stood up on my tippy toes to reach it. As I was reaching he says from behind me, "Wow, Mom! You are getting so tall. My am proud of you for growing bigger!"

Should I be concerned about Jamison's imaginary-to-real friend ratio?? I am constantly competing with Rob, Autumn, Rob's Mom, Rob's Dad... I was even told that "Dad and Rob are the boss at our house, not you!"

When your 3-yr-old son sits down next to you and says, "My want to be a Mommy like you when my grown up," I think you are supposed to take it as a compliment.

"What you talking about Hot Sauce?" was my 3-yr-old son's response when I told him it was time to head to bed.

"Hey Mom, your lotion smells like summer screen!" Jamison, age 3. (Pretty sure he meant sun screen, but isn't it cute!!??)

Yesterday Jamison came and gave me a spontaneous hug! Here is the conversation that followed:
Me: "Jamison, I wish you could stay little forever and never get big."
Jamison: "No, my want to get big!"
Me: "Well, what are you going to do when you get big?"
Jamison: "Get a bigger bed, duhhhhhh!"

Jamison's meal prayer tonight... "please don't help us to have a bloody nose, a bad cough or go to jail."

My favorite Jamison-isms while I was doing my kettlebell workout video: 1) Mom, is this a game? Are you winning?, 2) Mom, are you ok? Be careful Mom. Don't hurt yourself. Be careful Mom. Mom, are you listening? BE CAREFUL!!
