Jessa stumbled into our room in the middle of the night, wakes me and says, "Mom, the pumpkins I'm painting are scaring me." "Oh, are you painting pumpkins now?" I inquire half awake. "Yes," she says with her hands on her hips. "Why don't you just finish them in the morning then," I suggest, too tired to come up with anything better. "Ok," she replies and stumbles back to bed.
