Tonight
Jessa drew a picture of her BFF and herself at the prom, each with a
date. I noticed that their dates were only half their height so I
inquired about it. With one hand on her hip and her head tilted she
answered, "Mom, have you seen how short the guys are in my class?" She
finished by rolling her eyes.
I pray for the "shrimp" that takes her to prom!
"Mom, when I told my Shade Tree friends today
that 'I was leaf-ing', it was probably my last tree joke I will ever
tell," said my sweet Jessa with tears rolling down her checks as she
laid her head down on her pillow on the eve of her last performance of "Over the Moon."
Jessa
had to give a presentation on her heritage today at school. She made
kneopfla soup to serve her classmates and practiced a few German words
to impress them. In her speech, after each statement she deemed to be
humorous, she followed it up with, "That was a little joke" and a giggle
so the audience knew how to respond to her "funny."
Jamison came in and woke me up at 2:42 a.m. to tell me he had NOT fallen out of bed!
Jessa
returned from the Butterfly Ball with a full report including a tally
of how many girls were wearing high heals, wedges and flats.
